Roe and Casey Destined for Dugout, States Up To Bat
Supreme Court's Alito finds no good in the abortion decisions
A draft of Justice Samuel Alito’s majority opinion on the unconstitutionality of Roe v. Wade was leaked Monday, causing a spate of news stories. Politico’s headline reads: Supreme Court has voted to overturn abortion rights, draft opinion shows.
The decision, expected to be out in June, will declare Roe v. Wade, 1973, and Planned Parenthood v. Casey, 1992, a usurpation of the rights of our nation’s most innocent human beings – a “racism” no respecter of race. It’s the new racism asserted by young and old, rich and poor, religious and non-religious, black and white and not based on the color of one’s skin—ll colors are in the canula crosshairs. A baby’s size, location, environment, and degree of dependence (SLED) has no bearing on their worth.
The 1973 decision guaranteed “federal constitutional protections of abortion rights,” and Casey’s imprimatur maintained that right. The Supreme Court is poised to put them both in the ash heap of reckless rulings of which there was at least one other.
The Dred Scott decision of 1857 was discarded, as the Court promises to do with Roe and Casey, for its degradation of human beings.
Dred Scott ruled that a slave from a free state who ventured into a slave state would be enslaved under that state’s laws. When the 13th and 14th Amendments to the Constitution were adopted, abolishing slavery and declaring all people are citizens of the United States who were born here, the gig was up for slave owners and Southern plantation bigwigs.
All United States citizens are assured of unalienable rights to “Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness” -- enshrined in the Declaration of Independence -- except little baby boys and girls, according to Roe and Casey. The baby was literally “thrown out with the bathwater,” blood and all. A person’s act of scuttling their offspring and the shameless provocateurs who billed abortion as “reproductive rights,” while benefiting from “choice,” took away the implicit choice to live from another.
This leak portends clouds to come – and we are ready. The heartless will chant and skewer and try to kill still. They will continue to deny the unborn have rights – just as it was for African Americans. The subsequent ruling will set off a tumult of unsolicited attacks, as if their prosperity (certainly not their posterity) depends on it. The gig is up – or is it? -- for abortion purveyors, Planned Parenthood, “back-alley” abortionists and an industry that has become glutted by the surreptitious “lynchings” of the innocent.
How states proceed is now the sticking post for which we plant our courage to abolish these unrighteous acts against humanity and consider them a blemish on our history, just as the acts of slavery have been condemned.
Justice Alito’s unwavering opinion in the leaked draft, reported Politico, stated that “Roe was egregiously wrong from the start.”
And it has been for nigh on 50 years. Enough already!
